Food Pantry
OUR MISSION at the Ellet Community Church is to see that no one in goes hungry in the Ellet Community! We do this in partnership with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank.

OUR STORY in feeding those in need began six years ago when we started volunteering for the Food Cupboard at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church. This opened our eyes to hunger going on around us and just how much our community needs a pantry in the Ellet Community. In February of 2022 we were informed the Arlington Memorial Baptist would be merging with Grace Church and the Food Pantry/Cupboard was not part of their new vision for ministry. At that point the leadership of the Ellet Community Church of God knew the ministry and mission of the Food Pantry needed to continue in the Ellet Community. After much prayer, and the Lord supplying the immediate needs to move the pantry into our church, we moved the pantry to its new home at Ellet Community Church of God.

WE SERVED our first clients on May 3rd, 2022, and continue to serve those in need in the Ellet Community. Since we opened in May, we've added A Senior Pantry service that specifically serves Seniors who are 60+ years old that meet the income guidelines for the program at the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank. We've also added a Door Dash program through the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank that serves those who have no transportation to our weekly food distribution on Tuesdays.

A SPECIAL NOTE OF THANKS to the Arlington Memorial Food Cupboard for their 40 years of service with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank. They were the longest continual operating pantry with the Food Bank since it began in 1982. Also, we thank all those from Arlington who made it possible for the Food Pantry/Cupboard Ministry to continue its mission here at Ellet Community Church.
